INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND ON LECTIO DIVINA:
Fr. Michael Lumpe, Pastor at St. Catherine Church in Bexley, prepares a weekly bulletin insert entitled "Lectio Divina." Lectio Divina is Latin for "divine reading" and is a method of reading, meditating and praying on Scripture, and has deep roots in the history of monasticism. This very popular insert is now being used in several parishes around the diocese. Lectio Divina is solid material for us to spend time with as we all search for ways to find personal meaning in the scripture, increase our faith and spirituality, and build a deeper, stronger relationship with God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, so that as we face the challenges of this earthly journey, we do so as His faithful disciples.
