Adult Faith Formation Program for Men

September 2011 Our Lady of Peace Church began offering "That Man is You!" a dynamic, fast-growing men's leadership program in the Catholic Church, The Knights of Columbus wanted to offer the men of the parish and surrounding parishes a program to equip men with the knowledge, insight and spiritual strength to effectively lead their families. The program witnessed a phenomenal growth since its inception in 2004 in Houston, Texas. The success centers on having relevant content, a professional production, and well-managed organization. The program is currently offered across 250 parishes in 35 states.

Ed Price of the OLP Parish visited some friends in Florida and visited a Catholic Church in the area that was offering the program. Ed saw that the program would appeal to the intelligence and character of the men of his parish, but also keep to the teachings and traditions of the Catholic faith. The Our Lady of Peace Knights of Columbus agreed and found more than they hoped for in the "That Man Is You!" program. The first 13 week semester kicked off Saturday, September 18, 2011.

The program's content, which integrates modern science with authentically Catholic teaching, helps men better understand themselves, their wives and marriages, and their unique role in their family and society. Throughout the course of the intellectual and spiritual formation program, attendees will explore the teachings of Pope John Paul II, contemporary medical and social science research, contemplative insights of the saints and more. The content is designed with the purpose of equipping men with the tools they need to lead a life that is boldly counter to popular Western culture, but wholly united with the truth, organizers said.

A new semester will begin Saturday, January 14th. 
A semester runs for thirteen weeks in a row, ending Saturday, April 7.
The program is held in the Gathering Space of Our Lady of Peace Church,
20 E. Dominion, Clintonville.
Doors open at 6:00 a.m. for breakfast and fellowship.
The program presentation is from 6:45 to 7:45 a.m.. Dismissal is about 7:45 p.m.
