HOSPITALITY MINISTRY
"Be hospitable to one another without complaining. As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God's varied grace." 1 Peter 4: 9,10
MISSION:
To develop a sense of community and support individual involvement in the parish.
INTRODUCTION:
The Our Lady of Peace Hospitality Ministry was started in the summer of 2005 when Kathy Price, Debbie Long, and Jane Hemming met with Pastor/Father Grimes to propose the idea. He asked the group's first effort be assisting in organizing the pictorial parish directory. The initial group had about fifteen members and had grown to thirty-one the summer of 2009.

LADIES, MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR WEDNESDAY,
MARCH 28 AT 7:00 P.M. and plan to attend the annual Ladies Social "GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN." It will be in the school cafeteria. This is an opportunity to make new friends in the parish and sustain old friendships. Stay tuned for more info

ACTIVITIES:
- Provide new parishioners with handbook containing information about parish activities,organizations, and opportunities for spiritual growth.
- Host new parishioner luncheon twice a year
- Send welcome letters to new parishioners and congratulation letters to families of children baptised
- Support liturgical and social activities of the parish
- Organize Lenten Soup Suppers held on Tuesdays after Evening Prayer service (began 2007)
- Organize and host women's parish social "Ladies Night Out" to foster making new friends and sustaining old friends in the parish. One hundred and fifty women attended in 2009. Hors d'œuvres, wine, soda and dessert served. Talent from within the parish ("Heavenly Entertainment" 2008 & 2009, and Fashion Show 2010) provided & door prizes (begun 2008).
IN YOUR EASTER BONNET SPRING INTO FRIENDSHIP 4th Annual 2011 Ladies Night Out
March 30 for full information and registration information click here - Operation Buckeye donations (personal items, toiletries, and money) collected to help support the provision of care boxes to our troops oversees. This is an annual project started in 2008. The 2010 collection was a huge success thanks to generous donations from parishioners. Hospitality members and Knights of Columbus collected donations in November going to Iraq and Afghanistan.
- Have also had a pewter ornament sale fundraiser, and hosted "Name Tag Sunday" annually since 2008.

MEETINGS:
Every other month a business meeting is held Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Our Lady of Peace Gathering Space. Please watch the parish bulletin for announcement of specific date.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
