 INTRODUCTION:
Members of the Liturgical Ministries assist in providing service at all parish Masses, as well as weddings, funerals, and other liturgical services.

WHO WE ARE/ WHAT WE DO:

ALTAR SERVERS:
Mission: To provide the youth of our parish a ministry of service as they assist the priest in the celebration of the Eucharist and other liturgical services.
Volunteer Opportunities: This ministry is open to all children of the parish from the 6th grade and older who have completed the necessary training.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS:
Mission: To assist the priest in administering the Sacrament of Holy Communion and serving as cupbearers to the congregation.
Activities: Distribute the Body and Blood of our Lord at Sunday and daily Masses and other liturgical services.

LECTORS:
Mission: To participate in the Liturgy of the Word by proclaiming the Word of God of the Mass in a reverent manner.
Activities: The Lector gives the introduction at Mass, reads the first two Scriptures and Responsorial Psalm, leads the intercession prayers (Prayer of the Faithful), and makes general announcements at the end of Mass.
Volunteer Opportunities: This role is open to men and women of the parish who have completed the necessary training.

USHERS:
Mission: To create a welcoming atmosphere during the gathering of the faithful at Sunday and special Masses.
Activities:
Greet individuals arriving for Mass in a warm and friendly manner.
As needed, help individuals find a seat.
Select a family prior to the start of Mass to take up the offertory gifts. Assist the family, and take up the collection from the congregation.
Distribute weekly church bulletins after Mass.
Respond to any emergency situations that may arise during the Mass.
Volunteer Opportunities: This role is open to women and men of the Parish.
